The Archewell Foundation, founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has recently rescued and evacuated women and children caught up in the Afghanistan crisis. The Duke and Duchess of Susses have reportedly donated to the Women for Aghan organisation in order to help those in need.

The Women for Afghan Foundation took to their Instagram handle to thank Harry and Meghan’s Archewell foundation for donating to their cause. The organisation shared a note which reads, “We are immensely grateful for the generosity of the Archewell Foundation in support of our efforts to evacuate/relocate thousands of Afghan women, children, families, including our staff.”

WAW, which is Afghanistan’s largest women’s organization, as it has employs over 850 Afghan women who are currently working diligently to provide support to women, children, and families amid the ongoing crisis.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has recently issued a statement regarding the challenging situation in Afghanistan as well as Haiti, which has been devastated by a devastating earthquake. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex described both circumstances as “heartbreaking.”  In the statement they mentioned, “As an international community, it is the decisions we make now — to alleviate suffering among those we know and those we may never meet — that will prove our humanity.”

Prince Harry who had served two visits in Afghanistan during his experience with the military has likewise shared a different note through his Invictus Foundation, asking all military veterans to meet up and support each other in the midst of this troublesome time.
