In December of last year, Netflix dropped its monthly membership pricing in India, with the cheapest plans now starting at Rs 149 per month. The Rs 149 basic plan, on the other hand, is restricted to phones and tablets and does not allow customers to watch material on a smart TV or laptop. Instead, the Rs 199 offers that option, making it a better choice for many customers seeking for a cost-effective method to utilize the service.

NETFLIX

Users may watch material in 480p resolution on only one screen at a time with Netflix’s Rs 199 per month package. You may, however, access all of Netflix’s content, including the company’s most current mobile games. With this account, you may also download material. However, downloads are restricted to a single device. So, if you have a Rs 199 Netflix subscription on your phone and tablet, you won’t be able to download anything on both.

The Rs 199 package also allows customers to watch video on computers and televisions, which isn’t possible with the Rs 149 plan. The two Netflix subscriptions, which offer HD and 4K video, cost Rs 499 and Rs 649 per month, respectively. They can even run two or four displays at the same time. Keep in mind that all Netflix plans are ad-free.

AMAZON PRIME

Users may receive an Amazon Prime Video subscription by signing up for Prime, which comes with a slew of perks including free delivery on Amazon and access to Prime Music, among others. Last year, however, the Prime Membership was discontinued. The annual fee has increased from Rs 999 to Rs 1499. The monthly fee is now Rs 179, up from Rs 129 before. The fee every quarter is Rs 459.

For Airtel customers, Amazon also offers a mobile-only package. Users may access Amazon Prime videos in SD quality with the Amazon Prime Video mobile edition package, which starts at Rs 89 per month. This just offers you access to the video material and not to any of the other Prime perks.

The proposal was unveiled in January of last year. It also includes a free 30-day trial. It is included for free with all Airtel prepaid plans.

DISNEY HOTSTAR

From September 2021, Disney+ Hotstar will provide new plans. The most basic mobile plan is Rs 499 per year and allows for only one device to be used at a time. The video resolution is set to HD (720p), and stereo audio is available. However, the package is only available on mobile devices and is not ad-free.

The second plan offered by Disney+ Hotstar is ‘Premium,’ which is a monthly plan priced at Rs 299 per month. Users can also pay Rs 1499 per year, which is half the price, for this year. If you subscribe to the Premium plan using a mobile device, you may not see the monthly option. The monthly option is only available when using a desktop or laptop browser to visit the website.

SONY LIV

The monthly membership to SonyLiv costs Rs 299 per month. A six-month subscription would set you back Rs 699, and an annual subscription will set you back Rs 999. Only subscribers get access to LIV original series and movies, such as Shark Tank India, Sony and SAB shows on TV at the same time, Indian movies, Live Sports and Tournaments, Hollywood movies and foreign shows, and children’s entertainment.

If you subscribe to the monthly plan, you can only view on one screen at a time, however the six-month and yearly subscriptions allow you to watch on two displays. Users may establish up to five separate profiles on the site, with all of them supporting offline downloading.

ZEE LIV

Zee5 provides a Rs 999 per year package that is presently 50% off the regular price of Rs 499. At the same time, three displays are supported by the plan. Zee5 also offers a Rs 299 three-month subscription that enables two screens at once. To enjoy its online series, live programming on Zee5, Alt Balaji stuff, and other content, you’ll need a membership.

The content is exclusively available for download on the Zee5 mobile app. The highest video quality that can be supported is 1080p.
