Hridayam, starring Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Darshana Rajendran, was released in theatres on January 21, 2022. The film received a resoundingly good reception at its initial release. Despite the COVID-19 scenario, the romantic entertainment, directed by the multi-talented singer, actor, and director Vineeth Sreenivasan, is performing well in theatres.

Now that the film has been released for a month, it appears that fans are due for even another treat, as we learn of the film’s OTT announcement.

That’s right, you read that correctly. Hridayam will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on February 18, 2022 (Friday) at 12 a.m. The popular OTT platform has purchased the post-release digital rights to the Vineeth Sreenivasan directed film. Fans are ecstatic, and they can’t wait for the film’s digital release now that the major announcement has gone viral on social media. Another group of social media users has expressed their dissatisfaction, noting the film’s quick distribution before it had even completed a month in theatres.

Hridayam stars Vijayaraghavan, Johny Antony, Aju Varghese, Arun Kurian, Annu Antony, and Aswanth Lal and is produced by Visakh Subramaniam and Noble Babu Thomas under their respective brands Merryland Cinemas and Big Bang Entertainments. Hesham Abdul Wahab created the soundtrack for the Pranav-starrer, which was shot by Viswajith Odukkathil and edited by Ranjan Abraham. Despite the fact that primary production for the film began in February 2020, the filmmakers took a long gap before restarting work due to the epidemic and accompanying limitations placed in some locations.

Hridayam is Pranav’s second post-pandemic film, following Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, and Kalyani’s fourth, following Putham Pudhu Kaalai, Maanaadu, and Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham.
