Dhanush’s father Kasthuri Raja opens up about separation

Superstar Dhanush and his wife Aishwaryaa have decided to part their ways after “18 years of togetherness as a couple, friends, parents and well wishers to each other”. Elder daughter of Megastar Rajinikanth, Aishwaryaa is a film director and playback singer.

Actor’s father and director Kasthuri Raja has opened up about the divorce of Aishwaryaa and Dhanush. Speaking to Tamil news daily, reportedly he said that their separation is a family quarrel not a divorce. He also stated that the couple is in Hyderabad now and he had spoken to both of them over the phone about their separation.

The actor took to his Twitter to announce the separation, wrote “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better.”

The couple got married in November 2004, and is parents to two sons named Yatra and Linga, who were born in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
