With the first look at Sony Entertainment Television’s new slice-of-life drama, Jagannath aur Purvi Ki ‘Dosti Anokhi,’ the public has been enthralled. The show depicts an uncommon and harmless connection between an old man, Jaganath Mishra, and a young lively woman, Purvi, as well as Jagannath’s journey of rediscovering his lost sense of purpose in life through a young stranger-turned-friend. Ismeet Kohli, a debutante, plays Purvi, an impetuous and carefree millennial who believes in living her life on her own terms. Ismeet is prepared to make a mark in the hearts of the public with her skills in Dosti Anokhi, her debut television production, after working in countless online series and commercial films.
“Dosti Anokhi has a really unique plot that brings about a novel viewpoint on relationships with sympathetic people,” Ismeet Kohli stated, expressing her enthusiasm over her television debut. Having the opportunity to work with such amazing performers as Sushmita ma’am and Rajendra sir, who have done some outstanding work on television, is a huge plus for me, and I consider myself fortunate.
Purvi, my character, is a breath of fresh air; she is free-spirited, wears her heart on her sleeves, enjoys life, listens to her emotions, and refuses to adapt to societal standards. I, too, have some of Purvi’s characteristics, thus I found it rather easy to immerse myself in the character. Furthermore, the show’s script is highly authentic, which means it will connect and resonate with viewers. “I’m excited to go on this adventure.”
