Obesity is defined as a disease characterised by a higher-than-normal body fat percentage. It’s a multifaceted condition that involves the environment, family history and genetics, metabolism, behaviour, and habits, among other things. Obesity is best averted by a healthy lifestyle that involves eating the right number of calories and exercising to the fullest extent possible, despite the fact that hereditary and hormonal variables are beyond human control.

For those who are overweight or obese, achieving and maintaining a healthy weight is a long-term effort, but it also offers the opportunity to reduce your risk of major health problems. Weight loss and maintenance can be achieved with scientifically authorised treatment and devotion, lowering and maintaining your weight and lowering your long-term illness risk.

Even though it is considered that increasing calories “in” and decreasing calories “out” might help people lose weight, this seldom occurs. A reduction in calorie consumption, on the other hand, is always good.

This not only causes weight gain, but also increases your chance of coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, colon cancer, and a variety of other health issues.

Consumption of high-calorie foods and various forms of westernisation, such as internet usage, comfort, and so on, are key contributors to the obesity epidemic.

Siblings with a family history of diabetes and obesity are more likely to get the condition. Body fat content and distribution are influenced by genetics. Even with a lower BMI, Indians are more likely to have more fat and are more prone to central/truncal obesity. Truncal obesity has been shown to play a role in metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease in addition to obesity.

Before beginning therapy, certain endocrine variables, such as Cushing’s syndrome, must be evaluated in a patient with morbid obesity. Even while hypothyroidism is known to cause weight gain, once thyroid function is restored, the consequences are known to disappear. Hypothyroidism, on the other hand, is seldom a cause of extreme obesity when it is treated.

The OTT release of Mohanlal’s ‘Marakkar’ encounters several difficulties

0

The OTT release of Malayalam actor Mohanlal’s blockbuster film ‘Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea,’ directed by acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan, has encountered a snag, with Kerala Minister for Films Saji Cherian insisting on theatrical distribution.

Cherian stated that the OTT component was considered when the movie theatres were closed, and that the government is adamant in its belief that films should be distributed in theatres first, as he anticipates with ‘Marakkar.’

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu presented the 67th National Film Awards in an event held at Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan on Monday (October 25). The 67th National Film Awards were announced in March this year for the greatest works of 2019, however owing to the epidemic, the award presentation was postponed.

After a six-month wait, movie theatres in Kerala finally began showing films on Wednesday, with strict Covid standards permitting just 50% of the entire seating capacity, putting a damper on producers and theatre owners.

Antony Perumbavoor, the producer of ‘Marakkar,’ originally said that the filmmakers are considering all alternatives, including an OTT distribution, and that they have now almost finalised the arrangement for a Prime Video release.

This decision has irritated the state’s theatre owners, who are struggling financially and believe that if a big picture like ‘Marakkar’ goes on OTT, they would be in danger. Perumbavoor requested a minimum guarantee from theatre owners, according to a source, but the sum Perumbavoor is asking for is quite large.

This film has cost Perumbavoor a whopping Rs 85 crore, so he’s not going to back down, and with Cherian also pushing for a theatrical release, it’ll be interesting to see what happens next.

Mumbai, India’s financial metropolis and centre of Hindi cinema, has been a frenzy of activity during the last several days. The Bombay High Court granted conditional release to Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan, and this has changed many things.

In the middle of all the mudslinging at Bollywood, the state’s Minority Development, Aukaf, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship Minister Nawab Malik spoke out passionately in defence of the film industry.

Taking note of his statements, filmmaker-actress Pooja Bhatt expressed gratitude to Malik for his support of the profession and the city of Mumbai at a time when the business and its people are continually being vilified.

She took to Twitter and wrote: “Thank you, @nawabmalikncp, for speaking out against the orchestrated campaign of hatred directed towards the Hindi cinema industry. We feel less orphaned as a result of it. Bombay/Mumbai and Bollywood are inextricably interwoven. After all, this is the city of dreams that has supported millions of people throughout the years.”

Pooja’s tweet comes at a time when the film industry is dealing with a barrage of unwanted comments and criticism from all sides. She had previously responded to Shah Rukh Khan’s visit to Arthur Road jail when the superstar went to meet his son.

Pooja, seeing the actor encircled by the media, had exhorted the media fraternity in a tweet that read: “Greetings, members of the press. I understand that things are tougher than ever and that your respective companies are putting enormous pressure on you to grab a byte even if it means jeopardising your own health and safety, but how will you explain this pack-like behaviour to your own children? Tragic.”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has quit the online OTT platforms!

Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is known for his hardworking manner, down-to-earth nature, and realistic acting. He has proved his flair for acting time and time again. “The platform has become a dumping ground for redundant shows. We either have shows that don’t deserve to be seen in the first place. Or sequels to shows that have nothing more to say,” says a disgusted Nawaz who was a pioneer on the digital medium.

“When I did Sacred Games for Netflix, there was an excitement and challenge around the digital medium. New talent was being given a chance Now that freshness is gone. It’s become dhanda (racket) for big production houses and actors who are now so-called stars on the OTT platform. Major film producers in Bollywood have cut lucrative deals with all the big players in the OTT field. Producers get whopping amounts to create unlimited content. The quantity has killed quality,” says Nawaz sadly.

He finds OTT the shows unbearable now. “When I can’t bear to watch them how can I bear to be in them?” He also added, “Yeh star system bade parde ko kha gaya (this star system killed the big screen). Now we have so-called stars on OTT claiming big money and throwing tantrums like Bollywood A-listers. They forget. Content is king. Woh zamana chala gala. When stars ruled. Before this lockdown and the digital domination, A-listers would release their films in 3,000 theatres across the country. People had no choice but to see them. Now they have unlimited choices.”

The BTS Army lashes out as they point out a rude detail in HYBE’s new video!

BTS has one of the largest fan bases in the world. The BTS Army is known for its observant and supporting nature. However, the army is angry now since they noticed a detail that is rude on HYBE’s account. They are now calling HYBE out for such behaviour and asking HYBE to rectify their error.

BTS’s BANGTANTV YouTube channel uploaded a new “EPISODE” from the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). This video is special and marks the time in September when BTS attended the event as speakers and special presidential envoys for President Moon Jae In. They attended the event as representatives of South Korea.

The video has subtitles and it is one of those subtitles that has caused a stir among the many fans. This time both K-ARMY (BTS’s Korean fans) and I-ARMY (BTS’s international fans) are hurt by HYBE’s actions. In one of the scenes, the nickname “Chicken Jimin” (“닭지민” or “Dalg Jimin“) was included.

It’s not uncommon for HYBE to use BTS’s nicknames in subtitles but this particular nickname has unpleasant origins. Jimin’s anti-fans have been known to use “Chicken Jimin” in order to ridicule Jimin and disrespect him. One fan wrote, “Sorry to bring drama to your tl, but this is outrageous. K-PJMs are furious about this, and rightfully so.

Instead of putting ‘박지민’ (P@rk J1m1n) in the subtitles, HYBE put ‘닭지민’ instead which basically means ch1cken J1m1n and is used in really horrid anti blogs against him. https://t.co/jEeoGpUBti

As such, ARMY is now trending “HYBE RESPECT JIMIN” to express their frustration, in the hopes of correcting the subtitle and preventing “Chicken Jimin” from appearing in future BTS content.

The first picture isㅠㅠ it’s the accident scene…this was back in August, on a day that was particularly hot. She sat bare on the hot, hard asphalt ground ㅠㅠ

But actress Jeon So Min put Yun Seul on her lap and put herself through more misery ㅠㅠ

(I told her she didn’t need to do that, but she kept saying it was okay ㅠㅠ)”
