After the controversies related to films like Jodhaa Akbar and Padmavat, a similar controversy has now surrounded the film Prithviraj. The movie is a Yash Raj film production starring Akshay Kumar. In Chandigarh, today, Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha, demanded a title change for the film and for this, they led a strong demonstration.

The people of the organization said the name of the film should be ‘Hindu Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan’ or ‘Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan’ and not just Prithviraj.

This is because the name of the film should give full respect to the last Hindu emperor Prithviraj Chauhan.

They also demanded that the film should be shown to representatives of Kshatriya and Rajput society. If there is any room for controversy or if there is any tampering with history. If any, they would be able to point out, before the release of the film itself.

While demonstrating in Sector 45, Chandigarh, Members of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha said that if their demands are not fulfilled by the producer-director of the film then it won’t end all the controversies, instead, they will face the same fate as they did to Padmaavat and Jodhaa Akbar during the release of the film.

During this demonstration, slogans were shouted out loud and an effigy of the producer-director and star Akshay Kumar were burnt.
