Himani Bundela, a 25-year-old teacher from Agra has become the first Crorepati on Kaun Banega Crorepati season 13. Himani won Rs 1 crore by answering 15 questions correctly without the use of a lifeline. She had won Rs 50 lakh in the previous episode and continued as the roll-over contestant in yesterday’s episode, but Himani decided to leave the game because she wasn’t sure about the answer to the jackpot question worth Rs 7 crore.

As the episode began, Amitabh Bachchan led Himani Bundela to the hot seat. He also encouraged her and told her not to worry because she was doing so well on the game show. He shook her hand and led her to the chair. She provided all the answers, but became stuck on the final question of Rs 7 crore. The visually impaired contestant was just one step away from winning the huge prize money and the question that she could not answer, was based on Dr. BR Ambedkar. The following was the question:-What was the title of the thesis that Dr B R Ambedkar submitted to the London School of Economics for which he was awarded his doctorate in 1923?

The options were:

  • The Want And Means Of India
  • The Problem Of The Rupee
  • National Dividend Of India
  • The Law And Lawyers.

Unsure of the correct answer, Himani decided to leave the show and walk away with Rs 1 crore and a car. When she decided to quit, Big B asked Himani to choose any of the answers, she chose National Dividend of India, which was incorrect, and she was happy that she decided to stop playing the game. As the correct answer was: The Problem Of The Rupee.

Earlier in an interview with Indian Express, Himani told that with her prize money, she planned to start an inclusive training programme for differently abled students. Aside from that, she wants to start a business for her father, who lost his job due to the pandemic, and also invest a significant amount of money in her siblings’ and their future.
