Diljit Dosanjh, the actor and singer from the film Soorma, recently opened out about his time in the Bollywood industry, and it was not a happy one.
Diljit, who has been in numerous Hindi films, is familiar with the industry’s inner workings and has some advice for them: “Superstar honge apne ghar pe (Those actors may be lions in their own dens).”
Diljit Dosanjh claimed in an interview that he isn’t concerned with making it famous in Bollywood with a great film career because he is a talented and popular Punjabi singer. “I have no ambition to become a Bollywood star,” Diljit Dosanjh stated. I adore music, and I can make it without anyone’s permission. No superstar can convince me that this music isn’t going to work or that another song would be better; none of it works on me. Punjabi artists are self-sufficient, which is a wonderful luxury. Nobody can stop us from producing music, and no one can stop me from making music. I’ll continue to make music for as long as I desire and as long as God permits. And I couldn’t care less about landing a role in Bollywood.”
“If I speak out about it, it’ll become a big deal,” Diljit said of his encounter. It is preferable to avoid all of this. Everything is shown via your eyes. Using words isn’t necessary. And filmmaking is the type of media where having lines isn’t required. Your face, emotions, and eyes are all things that convey everything about you. Nobody fascinates me; no actor, no director, no one. In their own homes, they may be superstars.”
Diljit Dosanjh, a well-known Punjabi singer, rose to prominence in Bollywood with films such as “Udta Punjab,” “Phillauri,” “Soorma,” and others. He’ll be featured in a Netflix film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar in the near future.
