HOMETOWN CHA-CHA-CHA IS THE NUMBER ONE TELEVISION SHOW

Since its launch on August 21 of this year, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha has been one of the most popular Korean shows. The show’s last episode had the greatest audience figures yet. According to a post on Soompi, Nielsen Korea data revealed that the series finale of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha received an average countrywide rating of 12.7 percent, a new personal high for a TV show. The show was also the most popular on television during its time period.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is a remake of the South Korean film Mr Hong, starring Shin Min-ah, Kim Seon-ho, and Lee Sang-yi (2004). Yoon Hye-jin (Shin Min-ah), a dentist, and Hong Du-sik (Shin Min-ah) are the central characters in the tale (Kim Seon-ho). Hye-jin is a dentist who has been laid off. She later chooses to open a clinic in Gongjin, a coastal hamlet where she meets Du-sik, a jack-of-all-trades. In South Korea, the drama aired on tvN, however Indian audiences may watch it on Netflix.

With its last episode on October 17, the popular romantic comedy starring Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah scored its best audience figures yet. According to Nielsen Korea, the series finale of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” received a 12.7 percent average countrywide rating, a new high for the drama.

For its last broadcast, “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” stayed top in its time slot among all viewers and the important demographic of viewers aged 20 to 49, with whom it achieved a nationwide average of 6.5 percent.
