A fantastic Korean drama narrative revolves around the dynamics and relationships of a family. The hilarity and hilarious antics of the family-centered K-dramas have made them a popular favourite throughout the years. While numerous melodramas and slice-of-life dramas have attracted viewers, K-dramas like Reply 1988 embody a distinct part of K-dramas that make for the perfect holiday movie. The protagonists become entangled in love, friendship, school mishaps, and getting through difficult times while the major families struggle with their own conflicts.

Reply 1988 was a huge hit in 2015 and has been a K-drama mainstay for years. Lee Hye-ri, who starred in My Roommate is a Gumiho, is one of the many well-known performers in the K-drama. A group of friends from the same neighbourhood and their families were the subject of the family-oriented K-drama.

Because of its success, the fame love triangle concept has become common in Korean dramas. “One of the largest fan battles in K-drama history — Jung-hwan vs. Choi-taek,” according to Soompi. Its plot revolves around adolescent love, domineering parents, and rivalry between siblings. There isn’t a single K-drama fan who hasn’t heard of or watched the drama.

Their lives are similar to anybody else’s, as the kids struggle with issues such as attempting to have a successful profession, marriages, personal life, and everything in between. When a K-pop singer turned actor named Ahn Joong-hee (Lee Joon) claims to be Han-son, su’s the family dynamic is significantly altered. My Father is Strange immerses viewers in a convoluted tale of past deceptions eventually being exposed.

  1. ‘Love in the Moonlight’ is SBS’s most popular historical drama, yet it has garnered some criticism

Love in the Moonlight is usually mentioned when it comes to historical K-drama with a gender-bending twist. For its substance, brand, plot, and graphics, the 2016 drama was a tremendous hit during its time on TV. Crown Prince Lee Yeong’s (Park Bo-gum) and Hong Ra-on/Hong Sam-(Park nom’s Bo-gum) coming-of-age narrative is based on the novel Moonlight Drawn by Clouds (Kim Yoo-jung).

Ra-on was reared as a boy on the streets by her mother. She made a career by disguising up as a male and counselling couple, as well as writing romance novels. She becomes Lee Yeong’s eunuch in some way (a castrated male who serves royalty). Her concealment of her true identity is in peril. She falls in love with the prince along the way.
