Many narratives in Korean dramas are similar because they employ common themes. Happiness, tvN’s new K-drama, is comparable to another famous Netflix drama starring Song Kang. Sweet Home and Happiness both revolve around a viral outbreak that transforms regular people into hideous monsters. While the plots of the two K-dramas differ slightly, both will fascinate viewers in the same manner and are ideal for viewing together if you’re searching for a gripping thriller.

K-drama by Park Hyung-sik the primary protagonists in Happiness are grappling with a fresh epidemic following the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In the first episode of the K-drama, a detective and a special forces officer become engaged in a mystery as individuals transform into bloodthirsty monsters. A failing pharmaceutical medication was the source of the outbreak. Although the substance was disseminated by local drug traffickers, there is a larger conspiracy at work. A similar plot is followed in Sweet Home. Residents of an apartment building discover the outside world has deteriorated into mayhem overnight. People transform into ugly creatures fueled by their irrational wants. The reason of the pandemic, unlike Happiness, is not entirely clear. The K-drama makes a reference to the government being involved and is linked to one of the major characters.

Sweet Home on Netflix takes place in a single area. The Green Home inhabitants are a diverse group of people, each with their own unique storey to share. As occupants begin their day, they discover the facility is secured and they are unable to leave. Outside, the world has descended into anarchy, and the only option to stay alive is to remain indoors until assistance arrives. Residents must, however, be careful of one another, since anybody can turn into a monster. Yoon Sae-bom (Han Hyo-joo) and Jung Ji-hyun (Park) move into a new building that is separated into tenants and owners in Happiness. Lieutenant colonel Han Tae-seok (Jo Woo-jin) finds where the pandemic began. He declares the whole residential section to be quarantined. Each character has a larger role than in Sweet Home, and the risk of infection is great.
