The seventh and eighth episodes of Park Min Young and Song Kang’s ‘Forecasting Love and Weather’ aired on March 5 and 6. The fourth week of the series, which follows two polar-opposite individuals working together at the Korea Meteorological Administration, the nation’s weather forecasting service, brought us a sequence of unexpected incidents.

Jin Ha Kyung of Park Min Young and Lee Si Woo of Song Kang debate their living arrangements in episode seven, engaging in a mature discussion on pride and honesty. The episode comes to a comical conclusion when a befuddled Um Dong Han, an equally befuddled Shin Seok Ho, a flustered Jin Ha Kyung, a befuddled Lee Si Woo, and an alcoholic Han Ki Jun appear in the doorway of Jin Ha Kyung’s apartment.

The pandemonium in Episode 8 begins up where the last episode left off, but this time it takes an unsettling turn, with Jin Ha Kyung and Lee Si Woo storming into their respective rooms. Jin Ha Kyung tries to calm down ruffled feathers, but Lee Si Woo isn’t so easily calmed down. The situation worsens when Han Ki Jun and Lee Si Woo get into a fistfight in front of the press at a meeting.

The fourth week’s episodes, titled ‘Ozone Warning’ and ‘Discomfort Index,’ respectively, saw a miscommunication devolve into pandemonium, with ‘Forecasting Love and Weather’ maintaining consistent in its depiction of weather patterns and clearly stated themes of each episode weaved together. The program does a fantastic job at handling grownup themes and presenting both juvenile and intelligent reactions to them. With everything out in the open, the episodes stimulate interest in how the characters will deal with some major new knowledge in the next episodes.
