The COVID-19 epidemic has functioned as a catalyst for, and in some ways aided, the surge in streaming content watching, which is directly proportionate to the breadth and diversity of online programs accessible across the many platforms now available.

As a result, viewers have access to a variety of streaming sites with a diverse range of genres and languages. Though the enchantment of film and theatres will never fade, actress Sonnalli Seygall, who plays in MX Player’s Anamika, recently told News18.com that the quantity of content consumers consume in the comfort of their homes has risen.

According to Sonnalli, there has been a significant increase in the development of OTT content and online programs. “If I have to think of myself as an audience, my intake of shows has gone up so much,” she explained. Theaters were closed for a long time, so we obviously saw a lot of movies. People continue to watch the programs even after the cinemas have opened. Films, of course, will never lose their allure, and people will continue to go to movie theatres to see them. However, the type of material we consume via OTT has changed. And that’s all for the better since it provides the viewers with a diverse selection of stuff from which to choose.

Fresh faces are receiving notoriety as a result of these OTT initiatives, according to the Pyar Ka Punchnama actress, to the point where they are being offered films. She acknowledged that OTT platforms had given novices a chance to show their worth.

Sonnalli made her Bollywood debut in 2011 with the romantic comedy Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and she hasn’t looked back since. She went on to star in films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Boondi Raaita, Setters, High Jack, and Jai Mummy Di, to name a few.
