Actor Karik Aaryan is flying high on the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the movie is all set to cross the rs.150 crore mark. The actor is on cloud nine and when asked, he commented, “During a time like this, having delivered a 100 crore collection within the first 9 days of release is the most surreal feeling as an actor. I knew the film would do well, but couldn’ t have imagined it like this. I owe the success to the team of Bhool Bhuliyaa 2 who have worked passionately for it for 3 years. Secondly, the makers who delivered their vision of this entertainer so phenomenally and most importantly, the ones who have been pouring it with so much love-the audience, who accepred us with all their hearts.”
By crossing the 100 crore mark on Saturday, this movie has become Kartik’ s second movie to hit a century. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, a film that came in 2018 , did a total business of 152.75 crores.
The horror comedy is a standalone sequel to the popular 2007 movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa which starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, Amisha Patel and Rajpal Yadav.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “Bhool Bhuliyaa2 is extraordinary, superb hold in mass circuits..it is in these sectors that will add to a strong total, despite many new movies.”
The film is among the top three Bollywood films to have the biggest first week in 2022. It is second to The Kashmir Files and has also beaten Alia Bhatt’ s Gangubai Kathiawadi’ s first week collections.
