Nayanthara, who was most recently seen in her fiance Vignesh Shivan’s directorial debut Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, is due to star in GK Viknesh’s thriller O2 (Oxygen). The trailer for the film was recently released. The film will have a direct OTT release rather than a theatrical release.
Nayanthara, a female celebrity in Indian film, stars in O2, which will be published shortly. Disney + Hotstar, which chose against releasing the film in theatres and instead released it via an OTT platform, presented the first look at the film as well as the title. Despite the fact that Nayanthara’s newest film, Kaathuvakula Rend Kadhal, received mixed reviews from reviewers, the actress was praised for her performance. Despite this, GS Viknesh, a relative unknown, was the director of all of the O2 films.
Nayanthara will play a mother of an 8-year-old boy who has respiratory problems in the film. The bus they’re in is thrown into a valley, trapping the occupants inside. With everyone’s life on the line and slim prospects of survival, the plot revolves around how the mother preserves the single oxygen cylinder she has for her child.
Dream Warrior Pictures’ film will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar. From June 17, the film will be accessible for streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
O2 is claimed to be shot extensively in Tamil Nadu and Kerala’s mountainous regions. Nayanthara’s son was played by Master Ritwik in the film, which also featured RNR Manohar, Leena and Aadukalam Murugadoss, and Jaffar Idukki.
Vishal Chandrasekhar composed the music for the film, while Selva RK edited it.
