Esha Gupta discusses difficulties in Bollywood and claims, “We still think pale skin is superior.”

In the third season of Bobby Deol’s “Aashram,” Bollywood star Esha Gupta recently delivered a standout performance. Her supporters adore the fact that she has never shied away from displaying her striking beauty. She never lets trolls or unfavorable remarks get to her and keeps rewarding her followers with hot internet photos.

Esha has never complained about her lack of film opportunities, disappointments, or typecasting in subpar parts. She has always treated each position with dignity and given it her all. She has always been self-assured in her appearance, skin tone, and Indian traits. She recently discussed the prejudice towards those with fair and dark skin tones in the Bollywood business and with viewers 

She was questioned on the topic of colorism and the perception in the entertainment industry that having light skin gives you an edge.

“It occurred with a brand deal once, and it was truly my responsibility and that of my ex-agency,” she spat in response. We misread the contract, which said that whitening products had to be used rather than brightening ones.

The brightness of my face will change if I apply cucumber to my face or consume the appropriate foods consistently. But because I wasn’t ready to promote their skin-whitening goods, the company chose to sue me. That’s when I understood that our own country has a problem.

Additionally, she stated “Some Indians have a worldview that is similar to that of white supremacy. It is being fought by Americans. Because individuals with light complexion believe they were created by God to dominate, white supremacy holds that those with dark skin or darker hair are designed to be slaves.”

“India’s issue is also much older. We still think that fair skin is better, fair females are more attractive, and fair individuals are more successful. We also display that in our advertisements. The guy will accept you if you apply a cream. Who wouldn’t desire to wed you? If you use the cream, you’ll land your ideal job. But if you travel to Europe with your Indian skin tone, natural volume and texture of hair, and no cosmetics, people there would remark that you are the most stunning person they have ever seen.
