Fawad Khan, a Pakistani actor who became well-known among Indian moviegoers after his roles in Khoobsurat (2014) and Kapoor and Sons (2016), quit acting in Bollywood films as a result of the “political repercussions” between the two nations. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, directed by Karan Johar, was his final Bollywood movie. Khan is now doubtful whether any Indian filmmakers will collaborate with him since doing so would cause issues for them.
Khan was recently asked if he would like to return to Bollywood, but he chose not to say since he dislikes “confrontation” and doesn’t want any “controversy.” In an interview with Variety, he did express his opinion that Indians will be wary of dealing with him since “fingers will be pointed at them.”
In contrast to working with others, he added, “I believe it’s more a matter of whether someone else would wish to work with me because fingers will be pointed at them. I’ll do my task and go, but those who wish to work with me will have to put up with the consequences. And I’m concerned about them because they’ll have to live there and deal with the repercussions.
The actor said that if he works in India and then returns to Pakistan, it will be the same for him. In response, he replied, “I’d have to endure the results of what the people, the government, or any entities that are involved think about it.
Fawad Khan has made some wonderful friends in the Indian film business, and he hopes to collaborate with them in the future, whether it’s “for an international platform, a Pakistani platform, or for an Indian platform.”
