Aakash Kaushik, author of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” and “Thank God,” speaks out against how OTT has altered how stories are created. He also explains why people shouldn’t miss his most recent song, “Thank God.”
Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra star in the most recent movie, “Thank God,” which was written by Aakash Kaushik, a well-known writer in the Hindi film industry. He has also written for several high-profile movies, including the most recent blockbuster of 2022, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,” which stars Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.
When speaking with Prateek Sur from Outlook, he is honest about how he views movies and material in general in the present.
The screenplay determines whether a movie is excellent or awful. However, the well funded movie pays greater attention to the aesthetic appeal, from the actor’s appearance to the way scenes are shot. The writer of a movie’s script is rarely given credit. The top three dress designers will be easy for people to name, but the top three authors could be more difficult. I would like for it to alter. It’s time to properly thank the folks who create the material now that audiences understand its power.
Children are ignorant of many facets of our culture. I was astounded to discover that they have never heard of “Chitragupt”! I am really appreciative that Ramayana and Mahabharata were turned into a television series by BR Chopraji and Ramanand Sagarji. We learned more about our mythology as youngsters in a fun way. I’m not equating it with this movie. But Thank God also includes elements that are part of our culture. By seeing this movie, everyone may have fun and pick up some life lessons. Another factor is that it’s a family-friendly movie, which is uncommon these days. People should take their friends and relatives to attend the movie.
