On this Environmental World Health Day, &TV actors emphaiseze on the vital links between impacts of environmental concerns on human health and urge for responsible actions. These include RJ Mohit (Manoj, Doosri Maa), Yogesh Tripathi (Daroga Happu Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). RJ Mohit, aka Manoj from Doosri Maa, shares, “Recycling is an effective way of conserving resources. Rather than discarding everything into the trash, my family and I segregate plastic, paper, and metal waste and deposit them into designated recycling bins—a practice I faithfully uphold. Additionally, trees are the greatest source of oxygen that removes carbon dioxide and provides fresh and pure air to breathe. They help decrease ozone levels in the environment and provide fruits and flowers that offer several health benefits. I have also put indoor plants in my home to reduce the level of air pollutants like benzene and nitrogen dioxide and keep the air temperature down. The happiness of Human life is in the healthy nature in which they live.”

Yogesh Tripathi, Daroga Happu Singh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “A Day like Environmental World Health Day serves as a significant reminder for us to start healing planet, and this transformation starts right at home. Wastage of electricity causes various environmental issues. In our house, we make deliberate efforts to reduce our electricity usage and prioritize natural ventilation. Employing simple practices such as unplugging electronic devices when they are not in use, maximizing natural daylight for enhanced Vitamin D absorption, and using air conditioning only when truly needed can have a substantial impact on conserving energy. Therefore, I urge all of you to be conscious of energy misuse and contribute to environmental conservation for a healthier life.” Shubhangi Atre, Angoori Bhabi from Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “I practise cultivating fruits and vegetables in my home and strongly urge everyone to do so. This practice ensures that I am consuming healthy food. It also contributes to creating a healthier atmosphere within my home. Growing and nurturing plants indoors brings me immense joy and satisfaction. I care for my plants as if they were my children, and the fulfilment they bring is unparalleled. Likewise, I encourage everyone to plant a tree and care for it in their homes, workplaces, or any other suitable location; the sense of fulfilment you’ll experience is truly remarkable.”
