At the 69th Filmfare Awards, 2024, Abhishek Bachchan’s Ghoomer has earned a nomination for the best actor in Critics category. Amitabh Bachchan took to social media to congratulate his son.
He wrote on X, “you deserve more…much more.” The awards will be held on the 28th January. The nominations were announced yesterday with the movie Animal listed for 19 nominations and SRK, has been nominated the Best Actor for Jawan and Dunki. The movie 12thFail has also got several nominations.
Karan Johar penned an emotional note about his journey with Filmfare, “In 2001, I hosted Filmfare for the first time. It’s my 22nd year of hosting. I’ve got an emotional attachment to the enterprise that’s Filmfare. In the history of cinema, this is an archived award. Winning a Filmfare, is going to the archives of Hindi and Indian cinema, as Filmfare is now there in four languages. That’s what makes Filmfare not only powerful but exceptionally emotional and special to all nominees and winners.”
The new edition will take place in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar.
