Heeramandi, the web series has created news from the day of its release. It is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut and this has been his dream project.
Aditi Rao Hydari, recently recalled an incident of not getting a lunch break during the shoot of the series. She was unable to capture the right emotions the scene required. Bhansali narrated a story to being the emotions to the forefront and stopped her from eating lunch. The rest of the cast was given a lunch break. Being a hard taskmaster, his method did bring fruit.
Aditi narrates, “One day, ewe did two or three takes, and then he just called me very sweetly and started speaking to me. I immediately got transported to another world. He speaks very beautifully and sincerely, so it’s very passionate and I had tears in my eyes. And then he said we were going to shoot this scene and gave everybody a lunch break but said, “but you will not eat. Is that okay? I was like, “Done”.
Further on, she said, “So, I didn’t eat and it really helped me. It kept me on edge and not soft. I went back to my van and just thought about everything he said. He basically told me a story. I came back, and we shot it, and it was okayed.”
The 37- year-old played a remarkable role of the loving, soft Bibbojan in the series. She looked gorgeous and for me, I think she was the ideal actor to play this part.
