Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s supernatural thriller U-Turn released in September 2018 and got accolades for her intense performance. The movie is an actual remake of the Kannada thriller with the same title starring Shraddha Srinath.
Now, U-Turn is being made in Hindi and Alaya F is the protagonist. The story revolves around a journalist who finds himself involved in the mysterious deaths of a number of people after taking a U-Turn on a highway by removing roadblocks.
Alaya F took to social media and shared a poster of her latest film. She captioned it, “There is no going back from this U-Turn. Proceed at your own risk! Premiers on 28th April, only on #Zee5. Trailer out on 13th April. Stay tuned.”
Alaya F feels that the movie was a tough and challenging journey. She felt the movie had taught her many things and she grew up a lot while shooting for the same. All it takes is one shortcut to alter the course of your destiny.
Set against an urban background, ‘U-Turn’ is produced by Cult Movies, which is the new division under Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and they are all set to promote new age ideas and content.
Ekta Kapoor adds, “Alaya was fantastic in her debut film. There’s a self- assured yet vulnerable quality to her that I believe can connect with audiences across. U turn takes you on a ride with twists and turns galore & edge of the seat excitement. I’m so happy to have Alaya on board!”
In the poster that has been released, Alaya looks petrified with wound marks on her forehead. Debutante Arif Khan has helmed the movie.
