For all horror-comedy movie lovers, the highly anticipated ‘Chandramukhi’ 2 is going to be out soon. Directed by P. Vasu and produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu, the movie has a fantastic cast- Raghava Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut, Vadivelu, Mahima Nambiar and others.
Netflix, has officially acquired the rights to play Chandramukhi 2. The channel intends to offer the film in multiple languages, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The movie is set to hit the theatres on 28th September, 2023.
As per the trailer, the movie is about a family moving into a mansion where they have been warned not to use the south block which is Chandramukhi’s residence. Kangana is a dancer at the king’s court and is renowned for her beauty and dance.
In an interview, Kangana stated, “I am the original Chandramukhi. It’s an origin story which delves into who she is, and why she turned into a ghost. I’ve not been a commercial heroine and I usually stick to art films or women-centric films on our fights and struggles. But there comes a point where you want to try something new, and its wonderful to do a film with song and dance sequences. The film’s climax is something you should look forward to.”
