Soon-to-be actor Babil Khan, son of late actor Irrfan Khan, has resumed shooting his debut film after Covid-19 restrictions were eased. He took to social media to share a picture from the set of his debut film Qala. In one of the snaps his mother, Sutapa Sikdar, can also be seen in the background.
Babil took to his official Instagram handle, to share that he has resumed shooting for Qala. He can be seen in a plain white T-shirt as he dropped a picture from the sets of the film. He captioned the post as, “It’s shooting time.”
Babil also shared a snap from his Mumbai home, before leaving for work. The picture also featured his mother, Sutapa Sikdar in the background. Babil can be seen in a white T-shirt, jacket, crossbody bag, and a cap. While his mother Sutapa is dressed in a sleeveless long white kurta. “We’re off, bye-bye!” he captioned the post.
In April 2021, Babil announced that he had finished the first shoot schedule for his debut film. He wrote, “I have finished my first shooting schedule. Damn.”
“Also with my childhood best friend Bama. In the process, I realized that it is absolutely necessary to remember that your self-importance will drown you if you’re not extremely careful and honest with yourself. You are part of a story and the story will always be bigger than you. (Whether you are an actor or not). Have a great day today,” he added.
The first-look teaser for the film Qala was released in April by Netflix. The film features Babil Khan opposite Tripti Dimri. The film is helmed by Anvitaa Dutt and is produced by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma under their production house Clean Slate Films.
