Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, 53, is the latest celeb who has contracted to COVID-19. The actor was currently busy shooting for his upcoming film Ram Setu along with his co-stars Nushrratt Baruccha and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is directed by Abhishek Sharma.
The actor took to his verified social media accounts and shared a post which read as, “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I am under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care.”
The actor concluded his post by mentioning,“Back in action very soon!”
Akshay Kumar has several films lined up for release, before joining the shoot of Ram Setu, the actor wrapped up the shoot of Atrangi Re. The film also features Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush. He also has films like Bachchan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan, Prithviraj, Mission Lion, Bellbottom, Sooryavanshi, Ikka, Singham 3 in the pipeline.
In the recent past, Bollywod celebs such as Alia Bhatt, Kartik Aaryan, Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Milind Soman, Paresh Rawal, among others were tested COVID-19 positive.
