Now, Akshay has undergone a physical transformation for his upcoming film, Raksha Bandhan also featuring Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role.
Akshay Kumar is giving his all to his upcoming film. Talking about gaining weight for Raksha Bandhan, the actor, said that he is happy as he is getting to enjoy the mom-made halwa.
He said, “I quite enjoy the process of losing or gaining weight for a character because I am able to do it in a healthy way. I have gained 5 kg in a totally natural process. And it also allowed me the rare indulgence of eating meri maa ke haath ka halwa. What a blessing!”
When Akshay welcomed Bhumi Pednekar to the team
Akshay Kumar shared a happy picture on Instagram featuring him with director Aanand L Rai and female lead actress Bhumi Pednekar as he welcomed Bhumi to the Raksha Bandhan team. The actor had announced the film Raksha Bandham on the same occasion last year. He has dedicated this film to his sister Alka Bhatia.
Besides this, Akshay Kumar will be seen in Bell Bottom, which is going to release in theatres on July 27. The spy thriller also features Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi, and Vaani Kapoor, helmed by Ranjit M Tewari.
The actor also has Sooryavanshi opposite Katrina Kaif. Directed by Rohit Shetty. The actor also has Atrangi Re, Ram Setu in his pipeline.
