Alia Bhatt performance in the Bollywood film Highway gained immense appreciation.
The film had a worldwide release on 21st February 2014.
Highway was directed by the renowned director Imtiaz Ali. And also written by him. The movie was produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Window Seat Films.
It was made on a budget of 250 million and it went on to earn 477 million.
Highway was shot along the road highways of Harayana, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Kashmir.
In fact it was the first film to shoot in such.
The movie won a lot of awards. And furthermore actress Alia Bhatt won big at the Filmfare, Screen, Star Guild, Stardust and also Big Star Entertainment awards for the movie.
She portrayed the character of Veera Tripathi in the film. Whereas Randeep Hooda play the role of Mahabir Bhati.
Music by A.R. Rahman the movie was a hit.
Just recently as Highway turned 7, Alia Bhatt shared an Instagram story celebrating the same. In the short clip glimpses of the actress can be seen, with the song Patakha Guddi in the background.

On the work front the actress is currently shooting for Brahmastra. The shooting of the Karan Johar’ film is near completion.
Brahmastra is going to be a mega movie with a big star cast. From Amitabh Bachchan, to Nagarjuna, to Dimple Kapadia, to Prateik Babbar, to Mouni Roy, indeed the cast is strong.
Ranbir Kapoor plays the lead opposite Alia Bhatt in the movie and also Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a cameo in it.
Apart from this Alia Bhatt also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and also Rajamouli’s RRR in her kitty. In addition the filming of both the movies has begun.
The actress’ last film release was Sadak 2. Owing to the pandemic, the movie did not release in the theaters, but had a digital release on Disney+ Hotstar.
