Bollywood actress Amrita Rao goes down the memory lane as she remembers the release of comedy thriller film ‘Masti’ which got released on big screen today (April 9, 2004), 17 years ago.
On the occasion of its 17th anniversary today, Amrita took to Instagram to share a throwback picture of the cast and wrote, “Masti Anniversary Today! My 1st silver jubilee film and by far the cleanest adult comedy!!! Much love to all @tarasharmasaluja @aftabshivdasani @riteishd @geneliad @ajaydevgn @larabhupati”
The film starred Ajay Devgn, Genelia D’Souza, Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Lara Dutta, Amrita Rao and Tara Sharma. The film was directed by Indra Kumar, produced by Ashok Thakeria. The film was declared a hit at the box office. This film is the first installment of the Masti film series. The sequels of this film released as Grand Masti in 2013 and Great Grand Masti in 2016.
Amrita Rao was last seen in biographical movie Thackeray in 2019 directed by Abhijit Panse. She was essaying the role of Bal Thackery’s wife, Meena Tai Thackeray in the film opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
