Today (April 13) marks the arrival of the spring festival that marks New Year for Marathi celebrated in Maharashtra and Goa. The festival is celebrated with Gudi flags, drawing beautiful rangolis and binging on some sweets.
On the auspicious occasion, many Bollywood celebrities took to their social media to extend the wishes to their fans and well wishers.
PK actress Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “Wishing everyone a very Happy Biasakhi and Gudi Padwa! Remember to stay indoors and stay safe.”
Ajay Devgn wished his fans treating them with brand new poster of his much awaited film RRR and tweeted, “My best wishes to all who are celebrating #GudiPadwa, #Baisakhi and #Ugadi”
Ram Setu actor Akshay Kumar also took to twitter to wish his fans. His tweet read as, “My best wishes to every one for “Nav samvatsar- Vikram Samvat 2078” Happy Gudi Padwa, Samvatsar Padvo, Yugadi, Ugadi, Cheti Chand, Navreh, Baisakhi, Naba Barsha, Bihu, Vishnu, Puthandu, Cheiraoba, Pana Sankranti to all.”
Kangana Ranaut also took to her twitter account to extend the wishes of the auspicious day. She tweeted, “Wishing everyone happy #GudiPadwa #navratri #NewYear. This little devi picture that I am holding mother gave me when I left home, lost a lot but this stayed with me, I believe she looked after me, Navratris if you don’t know what to do, worship your mother and take her blessings.”

Other celebs including megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Dia Mirza, Karisma Kapoor, Kajol also extended the wishes on social media to their fans.
