Actress Upasana Singh who is known for portraying Kapil Sharma’s aunt in ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ has been booked for breaking covid-19 rules in Punjab. The Punjab police have registered a case against the actress.
As per the reports, the actress was shooting for her upcoming film in Punjab with the entire cast and crew on the location. During the investigation, police found that the star cast of the film had no permission to shoot. The team was unable to provide any document related to the permission for shooting to the police.
The police have filed FIR registered against Upasana Singh at Morinda Police station under the Epidemic Disease Act. The photo of the actress from the shoot location is going viral on the internet. Upasana Singh is yet to comment on the same.
Earlier, actor Jimmy Shergill and singer Gippy Grewal made headlines for breaking the covid-19 norms. Jimmy was accused of defying the covid-19 lockdown as he was shooting for the web series, Your Honor 2, in a private school in Ludhiana, Punjab. As per the reports, he only had permission to shoot till 8 pm but was caught violating the rules.
While, Gippy Grewal was arrested with some crew members as they shooting for an upcoming film Banur in Punjab’s Patiala district. They were later released on bail, police said. A police official informed that over 100 people gathered at the shooting location in a village amid the weekend lockdown that was enforced.
