Actress Gauhar Khan was booked by Mumbai Police on March 15 for allegedly violating the COVID-19 protocols by going out for a film’s shoot despite testing positive for the virus. 

Following to this incident, the 37 year-old actress Gauhar Khan has been issued a notice for two months by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) on Tuesday for violating the guidelines issued by Government of India and Maharashtra.

Responding to this, Gauhar took her Instagram and shared the message, “Inshallah maa as saabreen Sabr n Shukr. The truth shall always prevail.”   

The statement issued is signed by FWICE president BN Tiwari, general secretary Ashok Dubey and treasurer Gangeshwar Srivastav, stating “It was a very irresponsible act by Gauahar Khan, she not only risked her life but others who were on the set.”

FWICE has also suggested its members to distance themselves from being associated with Gauahar Khan for the next two months until a fresh directive is issued.

The actress recently got married to actor Zaid Darbar, the son of veteran music director Ismail Darbar, whereas, earlier this month, Gauhar Khan lost her father on March 5. Soon after his death, Gauhar took Instagram and poured down her feelings. Gauhar Khan was last seen in web series ‘Tandav’ which also featured Dimple Kapadia, Saif Ali Khan amongst others.
