Ira Dubey scolded Ranveer Singh for causing a commotion at an awards event she was co-hosting, then rubbed it in when he didn’t win an award.

Ira Dubey, who co-hosted an awards event with Ranveer Singh, remembered a time when she “handed it” to him for causing a disturbance. Ira speculated that Ranveer disliked being chastised.
Ira Dubey remarked in an interview that she is a straightforward person who expresses what she thinks. She urged Ranveer Singh to take his seat when she noticed him ‘jumping around’ even after the ceremony had begun on this occasion.
“Once, during an awards ceremony…,” she told RJ Siddharth Kannan. The GQ Awards were being hosted by me. Ranveer was present, and he was acting normally… I admire him; he’s a phenomenal performer who is unlike anybody else in the business. The event had begun, and Akshay Oberoi and I were co-hosting, and we were dressed up in black-tie attire…
And Ranveer was hopping from one table to the next, greeting everyone, making noises, and making sounds, all while the event was still going on. So, I gave it to him in little doses. I improvised something and forced him to sit down, which I don’t believe he appreciated.”
But Ira wasn’t finished yet. She went on to say, “Then, when the Entertainer of the Year award was revealed, I presented it to him once more. I looked him in the eyes and said, “Ranveer, it’s not you.” He was simply saying, “Hain!” And he remembers me from back in Delhi, and he’s worked in the theatre with my aunts…”
Ranveer Singh, who is known for his daring design choices, has won several fashion accolades. He most recently appeared in the film Gully Boy, which came out in 2019. Sooryavanshi, Cirkus, 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani are just a few of his forthcoming films.
