Kareena Kapoor Khan has completed 21 years in the Bollywood industry. The actress made her debut with Refugee also starring Abhishek Bachchan which was released 21 years ago.

To celebrate this big day, the actress shared behind-the-scene moments from the film and wrote a heartfelt note.

Kareena Kapoor took to Instagram to remember her debut film, Refugee which got released on June 30, 2000. She shared a set of pictures along with co-star Abhishek and the director of the film, P Dutta in one of the snaps.

Sharing the BTS photos, she wrote, “21 years…Grateful, happy, blessed, motivated, passionate… 21 more to go… I’m ready…Thank you to everyone for the continuous love and support.”

Several celebrities reacted to Kareena’s post. Singer Neeti Mohan commented, “I remember watching Refugee. First day, first show.” Actress Amrita Arora commented with heart emojis, while Saif Ali Khan’s sister Saba Pataudi commented, “Proud of my sis-in-law.”

Refugee marked the debut of Bollywood stars, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. The film also featured Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, Suniel Shetty, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, and Reena Roy, among others.

In the film, Kareena played the role of a Pakistani girl. While, on the other hand, Abhishek played the role of a man who helped Indian and Pakistani refugees to cross the border. The film was directed, written, and produced by JP Dutta.
