Kartik Aaryan is an avid social media user. The ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ actor on Sunday took to social media to share that his maternal grandfather passed away.
Kartik Aaryan posted an adorable childhood picture with his naanu and captioned it as, “Hope I get your swag some day… RIP Naanu.” In the picture shared by him, he can be seen in his grandfather’s arms wearing a red colored attire while his naanu is dressed up in a grey suit.
Many celebs from the industry and his fans took to the comment section of the post to pay their condolences. Actress Nimrat Kaur dropped a series of heart emojis on the post. Huma Qureshi wrote, “RIP”. Another user wrote, “Deepest condolences to you and your family @kartikaaryan. Prayers for your Naanu.” One of the fans wrote, “May his soul RIP,” another wrote, “Condolence to the whole family.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik has interesting projects lined up. The actor will be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 along with Tabu and Kiara Advani. The horror-comedy is directed by Anees Bazmee.
Besides this, Kartik also has Satyanarayan Ki Katha in his pipeline. Although the title of the film will change. Director Sameer Vidwans recently released an official statement and mentioned that the decision was taken collectively to avoid hurting religious sentiments.
Kartik also shared the news on his Instagram. It reads, ‘A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of our recently announced film ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’ to avoid hurting sentiments even if that’s purely unintentional. Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey.’
The actor will also be seen in Luka Chuppi 2 opposite Kriti Sanon. The film is a sequel to the 2019 film Luka Chuppi.
