Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah has been discharged from Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital. The 70-year-old-actor was admitted on June 29 after a small patch of pneumonia was found in his lungs. His son Vivaan Shah informed about the same through an Instagram post.
Taking to Instagram stories, Vivaan Shah shared two photos of his father Naseeruddin, wherein he can be seen with his wife Ratna Pathak Shah. He captioned the first post as, “Back home.”
Another post read as, “He just got discharged today morning.” While the first click shows the Ishqiya star using his phone, Naseeruddin is standing in his bedroom in the second click.
Earlier, while speaking to a media house, Vivaan informed that his father was doing fine and was responding well to the treatment. He said, “Dad is fine… It’s a patch of pneumonia that is getting treated. Nothing to worry… He is still in the hospital, Yes (he has a) small patch and all under control.”
Earlier, when the actor was hospitalized, his manager’s statement was read as “He has been in the hospital for two days. He’s under medical supervision. He was brought in for Pneumonia. There was a patch found in his lungs and it became necessary for him to be hospitalized immediately. His condition is stable and he’s responding well to the treatment.”
On the professional front, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah will be seen in the upcoming drama film, Maarrich, helmed by Dhruv Lather. The movie will also feature Tusshar Kapoor, Rahul Dev, Anita Hassanandani, and South actress Seerat Kapoor.
