Pooja Hegde has come out in support of Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was recently trolled for allegedly asking Rs 12 crore to play the mythological character of Sita in an upcoming film. Soon after the news broke out, social media was abuzz with discussions on her remuneration. Soon, protests began to boycott Bebo, asking the makers to drop the actress from the film.

Now, in an interview with ETimes, Pooja has come out in support of Bebo for asking what she deserves. Point out that if an actor had demanded a huge sum, no one would have questioned him, and she agrees. “Like the song goes, ‘ Kuch toh log kahenge, logo ka kaam hai kehna (People will always have an opinion because that’s what they do)’. That’s a part and parcel of the job and I am sure even Kareena herself was unfazed by it. More power to her! She is asking for what she thinks she is worth and it is the producer’s call at the end of the day on what he thinks he can pay. So more power to her. The more women realise their worth, the more they will even get what they deserve”.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Pooja has an interesting lineup of films in her kitty. She has ‘Bhaijaan’ with Salman Khan, ‘Cirkus’ with Ranveer Singh, ‘Radhe Shyam’ with Prabhas, ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’, ‘Beast’ and ‘Acharyaa’.
