Mumbai court remanded businessman Raj Kundra on Tuesday and has sent him on 14-day judicial custody in connection with a pornography racket.

The Mumbai police crime branch had arrested Kundra along with 11 others on July 19 on charges related to the alleged creation and publishing the pornographic films through mobile applications.

Now, the court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days. Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra moved the court for bail and his plea was kept for hearing on Wednesday.

The crime branch earlier told the court that Raj had plans to sell 119 adult films for $1.2 million.

The police claimed that during the probe into the case, it was found that Raj set up Armsprime Media Pvt Ltd, through London-based Kenrin Pvt Ltd, and bought a ‘Hotshots’ app to upload objectional videos.

The police also claimed to have found 51 obscene videos– 35 of them with Hotshots logo and 16 with BollyFame logo, during the investigation at the accused office.
