Sara Ali Khan announced the wrap up of her upcoming film Atrangi Re on Saturday. The romantic drama is directed by Anand L. Rai and also features Akshay Kumar and Dhanush.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Simmba actress shared multiple pictures with her co-star and the director of the film and pens down an emotional note. She captioned it, “That’s a film wrap.. Ek saal baad.. Thank you so much @aanandlrai sir for giving me this role, this film and this opportunity. But more than that, thank you for your unconditional love, unwavering support, the best India darshan, delicious khana, early morning sunrise drives to location, sufi ginger water evenings, and the most memorable year with the best team”.
Later in the post, the actress wrote a message for co-star Dhanush, “Thank you for always being helpful, motivating and inspiring. Couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this journey and yes thank you for introducing me to your amazing music and mouth watering varieties of South Indian food (even though we could’ve avoided that indulgence during shoots)”.
The Love Aaj Kal, actress ended her emotional note by penning down a note for Akshay Kumar and wrote, “And thank you so much @akshaykumar sir for bringing so much love, laughter, energy and positivity on our set and sorry for stalking you for photos in all our costumes sir”.
Atrangi Re film is jointly produced by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films. The release of the film is pushed due to pandemic and is scheduled to release on August 6, 2021. Earlier, the film was scheduled to release on Valentine ’s Day (February 14, 2021) worldwide.
The actress was last seen in comedy film Coolie No.1 opposite Varun Dhawan.
