Vicky Kaushal has begun prepping for his next project, The Immortal Ashwatthama. The Raazi actor took to his Instagram account to share a photo of himself with the director Aditya Dhar, where he is seen with a cast of Plaster of Paris on his face. This film is the second collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Aditya Dhar. Earlier, the two have worked together in Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Vicky Kaushal shared a new photo as he began prepping for The Immortal Ashwatthama. In the photo, Vicky is seen with a cast of Plaster of Paris (POP) on his face. While Aditya Dhar can be seen making a victory sign behind the actor. Sharing the photo, Vicky wrote, “When the Director’s really serious about ‘casting’ you in the Film. Prepping to be The Immortal! @adityadharfilms #TheImmortalAshwatthama.”

Earlier this year, Vicky Kaushal shared the first poster with his fans of The Immortal Ashwatthama. He wrote, “Another one!!! On the 2nd anniversary of URI-The Surgical Strike, the team gives you a glimpse into the world of #TheImmortalAshwatthama. Cannot wait to get onto this journey with the dream team of @adityadharfilms #RonnieScrewvala @rsvpmovies @soniyeah22.”

Vicky Kaushal is excited to essay the mythological character of Ashwatthama in his next. In a statement released earlier, the actor described this film as the biggest film of his career. The actor had said, “Ashwatthama is Aditya’s dream project and it required the backing of a visionary like Ronnie to bring this spectacle to audiences. It’s going to be a new space for me as an actor, exploring the newest form of technology alongside acting. Can’t wait to start the journey soon with this wonderful team.”

The film is billed as a superhero action film set in modern times, it is being planned as a trilogy. The film has its roots in the Mahabharata and will see Vicky in a mythological character of Ashvatthama.
