The filming of Bridgerton Season 2 has halted its shooting for the second time. Earlier in the same week the shooting was halted for 24- hours after one of the crew member was tested Covid-19 positive. Recently ET has confirmed that Netflix show, Bridgerton Season 2 will now shut down its shooting for the second time due to an another crew member being tested positive.
Netflix has refused to pass any comments on weather the person affected was cast or crew member. The person that got affected with Covid -19 is reportedly in Isolation. The filming of season 2 was resumed again on Friday, July 16. Shooting of Bridgerton is currently getting shot across UK. The filming of the second season began back in May. The first season was released in December last year starring Phoebe Dynevor and Rege-Jean Page in the lead roles.
UK is set to reopen on the Freedom Day, on July 19. Currently the highest number of Covid-19 cases are surfacing in the country with 48,553 cases recorded on July 15. More than 1.2 million people are getting tested for Covid-19.
The fans have been waiting for season 2 eagerly. The season one received massive positive response from the audience, and it was a blockbuster series with the highest viewership last year on the streaming platforms. The biggest show reached around 82 million viewership.
Recently, during the Emmy Awards, the season one received 12 nominations, in which one was for Outstanding Drama Series and other was for Outstanding Period Costumes. Page also got nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor for his splendid acting in the drama series.
The release date of season 2 is not yet confirm, but it is expected for the series to mark its release in 2022.
