BTS has topped so many records around the world! They have recently become the first Asian act to top the Billboard Hot 100 Charts for 4 straight weeks. Next up, they have held the first position on the first-ever Indian Ranking of the Biggest International Singles.
The Indian Music Industry is a company that has released a new chart that looks at the International songs which have created a sensation in India. The weekly ranking, which is titled the Top 20 Singles Chart India, is “formulated using streaming figures of international singles” and “compiled by global music technology leaders,” according to a news release by the IMI.
The first-ever Top 20 Singles Charts India has BTS’ Butter in the first position. Butter has apparently captured a lot of hearts in India as well!
Not only that, BTS’ Dynamite holds position no. 8. BTS released Dynamite last year as a summer bop which was meant to lighten up the atmosphere and the song is still going strong! BTS is the only artist that holds 2 positions in the chart. Also present on the debut Top 20 Singles Chart India are names like Dua Lipa (“Levitating,” No. 2), Lil Nas X (“Montero [Call Me By Your Name],” No. 3), and Justin Bieber (“Peaches” with Daniel Caesar and Giveon, No. 4).
