A few days ago, the internet was slammed with comments downsizing Deepika for her posting her pictures only hours before Alia’s debut at the Met Gala 2023. Many people have been surprised by the timing of the post, two months after the Oscars and just before Alia’s Met debut.
While getting dressed up her in chic ensemble, Alia posted from New York, “@aliabhatt turned to designer @PrabalGurung for her #MetGala debut, for which even this superstar was nervous. Wobbly knees were nowhere to be seen once this glamorous look hit the carpet, though. The all-white outfit elegantly fit into the night’s dress code of “in honor of Karl.”

Alia looked ethereal. Social media users called Deepika “insecure.” Another said, “Whyyyyyy did youuuu post it at the time of MET!? Didn’t she repost her wedding pictures when Alia got married to her ex-boyfriend? Oscars din’t just happen last night???” another tweeted, “I do like her but she’s definitely insecure and jealous of whoever her ex Bf is with.”
For the unversed, Alia’s look was inspired from Karl Lagerfeld’s innovative and most inspiring couture. Her look was inspired by the model Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal collection and Alia aced the look.
Alia rightly said, “A girl can never have too many pearls” and her 100,000 pearl attire just made her look drop-dead gorgeous.
