If you watched the current blockbuster K-Drama, ‘Squid Game,’ like millions of others across the world, you may have spotted the extras in animal print body paint in one of the scenes featuring the VIPs. Did you know that the artists who posed for the semi-nude sequences were compensated handsomely for their brief appearance?

Raye, a YouTuber, has disclosed that she was given 5 million KRW (about USD 4,250) to play the part. She shared specifics regarding the offer, saying that the recruiter informed her she couldn’t wear a bra since the setting needed people to have animal body paint. She was allowed to wear panties and stickers to hide her modesty, but she would have to wear full-body paint, even on her face.

Despite the fact that the role was non-speaking, the crew allegedly approached him with a lucrative offer and promised him that the sequence would not need the characters to be “sexual.”

During the 3-day filming, the job also came with privileges such as complete lodging, food, and pick-up services.

Raye, on the other hand, said that she turned down the part because it sounded ‘shady.’ She explained her decision by stating that she was not informed of the name of the program she would be filming for by the crew.

The program has never been more popular. Over the Halloween weekend, some Hollywood stars dressed up as ‘Squid Game’ participants, while members of BLACKPINK’s Lisa dressed up as the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ doll.

In keeping with the show’s concept, certain schools in the United States have prohibited pupils from dressing up like the characters.
