After ZEE5 announced its cooperation with TVF to stream all of its series and movies, the second season of popular youth-based drama Engineering Girls is slated to premiere. The show is based on the lives of three girls, Maggu, Sabu, and Kiara, and it follows on how the trio start becoming more serious about their careers during their final year of college. The first season was loved by viewers, and now Sejal Kumar, a social media influencer, and actress who is also features in webseries Engineering Girls, talks about the second season of the show. She discussed that how second season will be different from the first part. She also spoke about her character getting more matured in the upcoming season.
Speaking to I.A.N.S, Sejal said, “Season one, everyone was so generous and positive in terms of feedback and reviews. Everyone was so happy about how cute and relatable the show is. And the funniest thing that I got was that people didn’t know that I act. And when they saw me in season one, a lot of their reaction was about how I acted well.”
She further added, “It was very surprising for the audience and so they remembered my character in the show. Season 2 is very different from Season 1. We all are in our final year and things are a bit serious. S1 we were just starting out.
“In S2, it’s about my character’s growth, and how she becomes the bad*** after all the pain in S1,” said Sejal.
The new season is helmed by Apoorv Singh Karki and it also features Barkha Singh and Kritika Avasthi in lead roles. The second season chronicles their daily misadventures, and how they work together to overcome obstacles and realise their aspirations, ultimately becoming better and stronger.
The upcoming new season will get premier on August 27, on ZEE5.
