Ewan McGregor is back as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the new series, set 10 years after 2005’ s “Star Wars:Revenge of the Sith.” As per Disney’s synopsis the series show how “Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywaker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader,”which took place during the Sith.
Obi -Wan Kenobi is returning for the all new adventure. The series will also see the return of Hyden Christensen, who is reprising the role of Darth Vader. The series is set 10 years after the pair duelled on Mustafar in Revenge on the Sith. Deborah Chow will direct Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Joby Harold will be the head writer. A behind the scenes look was released for Disney plus Day.
Disney+’s smash hit will return for a third season in 2022. Mc Gregor told Forbes, “I loved paying him again. I mean its quite interesting after the experience of making the first three films and living through their reception in the world which wasn’ t always glowing. I think its no secret that Hayden Christenten comes back and we got to play scenes together as Obi- Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker and its fantastic to work with him again. I am not going to give anything away but the storyline, only I think its really going to satisfy “STAR WARS” fans.
The series premiers today on May 27.
