The Freelancer is a must watch! An
engaging series with an engrossing story.
Based on Shirish Thorat’s book ‘A Ticket to
Syria’, this is the story of a former police
officer who is set on a mission to rescue
Aliya, who has been taken there under the
false pretense of marriage and a
honeymoon.
Mohit Rana, the ex-cop mercenary, stands
tall to rescue his friend’s daughter. Creator
Neeraj Pandey with his great skills keeps
us glued to the screen that I could not
switch them off till I finished all the
episodes. Aliyah sends Avinash pictures
secretly of her whereabouts and all that is
happening in that part of the world.
In spite of several attempts to get help
from the right sources, he gathers his own
army and plans the rescue. The plot
thickens with every move, a little help
from the international agencies makes it
more relatable and the plot builds up.
Anupam Kher, plays the role of Dr. Arif
Khan and is the guiding figure for Mohit.
Sushant Singh has a great impact even
though a small role. The story has an
emotional angle too, his own wife battle’s
depression due to the loss of their son,
which adds to the humane angle.
