Garima Jain, an actor, enjoys experimenting with numerous genres and platforms. She is presently performing back-to-back projects where she is freely experimenting portraying various roles after a lot of TV episodes, films, and her daring persona in a few adult OTT series.
“I switched to OTT with strong series like Gandii Baat-4, XXX, and Mastram to disrupt the girl-next-door image on TV.” And none of my shows are in that zone right now,” she explains.
“Instead, I’m portraying a don in The Prayag Raj, a powerful rural girl in Raktanchal-2, and am seen committing a robbery in my current series in Lucknow, followed by the feature Aafat-e-Ishq, a horror serial, and the murder mystery Death Tales,” Jain says.
For the time being, the young actor intends to avoid controversial material. “I chose that approach in order to deconstruct that simplistic TV image.” I believe I made the correct decision at the appropriate moment when I experimented in OTT. I did experiment with strong and explicit stuff, but only in a very selected and visually pleasing way. See, the line between superfluous flesh show and required bold text is razor-thin! My hard work has rewarded me with back-to-back projects, and I am in a good mood today. Since the unlock phase last year, I’ve been working on pandemic nonstop.”
The actor has a slew of upcoming projects. “My most recent release was Twisted, and I’ve completed the most of my new films and series. Dongri to Dubai, a mega series, is also set to be released. People will get to witness a new aspect of me as an actor with each production.
Jain is now working on a project in Ayodhya and Lucknow. “At this point, all I can say is that it’s a mini-desi version of Money Heist in which we target a bank.” “It’s all about money and greed,” she explains.
Since the outbreak, this is her second project in Lucknow. “Because I’m also a vocalist, I’ve already performed here.” Then I came for the Prayag shoot last year… and now for this OTT series. As a result, after my homeland of Indore and Mumbai, it has become a third home for me. Previously, I was in Varanasi for the filming of Raktanchal-2.”
