Jaya Bachchan has been in the headlines recently for reasons other than her film efforts. She has declared a single army battle on the Mumbai paparazzi. Amitabh Bachchan’s wife is an angry woman, like the Angry Young Man himself. Not against a corrupt system, but against the poor paps on the streets.
The 74-year-old actor has regularly lost her cool in front of paparazzi. A recent video of Jaya Bachchan driving paparazzi away from her home, ‘Pratiksha,’ is becoming popular on social media. As her bodyguards say Ae bhai, band kar; to photographers, she is heard calling them “intruders.”
The incident took place during Amitabh Bachchan’s Diwali pooja. However, Jaya Bachchan lost her cool before the paparazzi.
Earlier in the Lakme India Fashion Week, she yelled at a stumbling photographer, “I hope you collapse.” Jaya has been compared to Albert Pinto in Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai on numerous occasions (1980).
Jaya becomes visibly irritated and lashes out at photographers for simply performing their duties, from Parliament to airports and even college fests. It’s almost as if she awoke one day and decided she didn’t like it when paparazzi photographed celebrities.
Please inform Jaya Bachchan that privacy in Bollywood is a thing of the past.
