Inner peace is possible, here are some habits you need to imbibe in your daily life.

I have learnt, with the passage of time that if we are not at peace with ourselves and live life out of fear or an aim to please others, we will always be in a turmoil. We first need that inner calm or state of tranquility, if we want to achieve anything. A restless mind, can accomplish nothing.

A part of walking the path to inner peace is to let go of others and their expectations. Here is my list of some habits that YOU NEED TO LET GO OF FOR PEACE!

  1. YOU DON’T NEED TOO MANY FRIENDS TO BE HAPPY-

Research proves that FOMO (fear of missing out) is one of the biggest causes of unhappiness. What we see on social media, is not real life. Real life is finding happiness with what you like, could be a single friend, any hobby or even being with yourself. You don’t essentially need a bunch of friends.

  1. ASSUMPTION THAT YOU HAVE TO BE HAPPY ALWAYS

Respect your feelings. Happiness is not a magical potion, there is pain and there is joy. Allow yourselves to feel what you are feeling and be real. If you feel grief or sad, please allow yourself the time and the freedom to heal. Its all about YOU, not others.

  1. CERTAIN MILESTONES HAVE TO BE ACCOMPLISHED BY A CERTAIN YEAR

According to studies conducted, milestone anxiety is experienced by more millennials and Gen Z. There’s no point in comparing anyone’s life to another, no one’s lagging behind, there are no milestones. Make your own benchmarks and at your own freewill.

All I would say is, just love yourself, nurture yourself and be grateful for all that you have. Only the wearer knows where the shoe pinches, so stop vying others.
